Data projectors
Used for Business presentations are suitable for movies or watching sport however in a dedicated home theatre room, home cinema projectors on this page are much better.
So you don't know what to choose?
Why do they call some projectors "Data" and others "Home Cinema or Home Theatre" ?
As a general rule Data projectors are brighter but less subtle in a dark room.
If you're presenting a power point in a well lit board room you're not worried about the very subtle skin tone variations.
You want to be able to see the graphs clearly regardless of the lights being on or off.
That's where you need a bright projector, it overcomes the ambient brightness in the room and forces the eye to perceive black when in fact the black is simply less white than the very bright whites.
(Yes a bit hard to get your head around that what the projector is really doing thanks to the extreme brightness is tricking you into seeing blacks that are not there..)
Looking at the 7 gray rectangles in the image below the 4 on the right are much darker so that projector must be better at producing blacks than the model that produced the 3 rectangles on the right?

More on Contrast Ratio
Data Projector brightness is the last thing you want in a dark cinema room, you're eyes would fall out (almost..) you need Contrast Ratio.
Brightness is not so important in true Home Cinema but it helps with 3D as 3D zaps the brightness due to the sequential nature of the projected images.
There is a middle ground for movies and sports etc. in your lounge room and that comes down to your budget vs. specifications.
So you can buy a projector for the board room and use it in the lounge room, it's not so smart to buy a true Home Cinema projector and then try to use it in a well lit board room or commercial application.
Horses for courses.
